The Best of 2016

Hi everyone! How was your Christmas? We hope you all had a wonderful day. If you’re anything like me you’re probably still recovering, moving around slowly stuck in some kind of food coma wondering where to put all the presents. But let’s not worry about that for now, let’s put our feet up, ignore the mess around us and look back on the year that was with a round up of our most popular blog posts.

This year on the blog we introduced our ‘Meet the Farmer’ series which took you all way behind the scenes to meet the farmers that grow our wonderful organic produce. We met Bob and Chris who supply our mandarins, the team at Zeally Bay Sourdough who bake our bread, Gary and Angela from Mt Alma Fresh Organics and team for Organic Growers Group who we visit each week at the market. We look forward to continuing this series in 2017.

We shared with you our story, introduced our team and since then we’ve added one more member to the team with the introduction of Sarah and her weekly recipes which we all love!

We also asked you to share your stories. There are so many different reasons why people choose organic and it’s been interesting to hear our customer stories. We met Kathryn and Crystal who both had different reasons for making the switch to organics. We’d really love to hear your story so if you’d like to be featured on the blog next year please email us at hello@theorganicplace.com.au

We began to delve a little deeper into organics and the truth behind conventional farming in Australia. We were shocked by these facts and you were too! We have been doing even more research lately and look forward to bringing you a lot more information about this in the near future. So stay tuned!  We’ll also continue to keep you updated with our regular ‘What’s in Season’ posts.

If there is anything in particular you would like to see us cover on the blog in 2017 we’d love to hear your suggestions!

Until the, Happy New Year everyone!
