I’ve have been rather ill this week and so have asked my fabulous brother to step into my shoes and do tonight’s blog recipe. He has quite a skill set in the kitchen. Here is his delicious recipe:
Vegetable Tiddly Oggie
Hi, Josh here. While my sister is looking like an animated used dish rag (sorry sis) I was more than happy to step in to do the blog. When I was a young kid I worked for 6 months in a bakery making bread and other essential baked goodies and one of my favourite things is the Tiddly Oggie; a vegetable pastry delight hot or cold, anytime of day. Here’s how you make it:

Grate the potato and squeeze dry.
Grate the carrot, finely slice the leek, cut the kernels from the corn cob.
Combine all prepared ingredients with the peas in 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan with salt and pepper to taste. Gently sweat over a low heat for 15 minutes until broken down.
On 2 sheets of puff pastry cut into 8 equal squares. Divide mixture between the 8 pieces and fold into triangle and press edges together.
Brush parcels with egg was and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve to your sick sister on the couch with a glass of lemonade on the side.
