  1. In a large pot, fry the garlic, ginger, and green onions in a little oil until fragrant.
  2. Add the sweetcorn and saute until the kernels turn bright yellow.
  3. Add the rice and water and some salt, and simmer for 1 hour to 90 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and creamy. You might want to add some more water, depending on your preference.
  4. Serve in a deep bowl with your favourite toppings.
