salty, savoury, soupy and served over rice – sign me up! the roux in this dish is *all important*. you can’t rush it and you can’t skip it. It takes a little love to get deep cocoa brown but its worth every minute. Absolutely packed with veg simmered so perfectly they just melt in your […]
Honestly, a spicy one-pot meal is all I need throughout winter. There’s veg, rice, and your choice of protein in one bowl and you can chilli it up to your liking (or not at all, though paprika is a must). Grab me a fork and I’m good! (Oh also, if you eat seafood, prawns would […]
No, that’s not a typo! Its a thicker stew-ish kind of soup and served with a hefty dollop of creamy mash rather than the usual gruyere-smothered baguette slice. Although there’s nothing stopping you from adding a little extra cheese to the top! Print Recipe French Onion Stoup Votes: 0 Rating: 0 You: Rate this recipe! […]

I’m a huge fan of leek and I’m a huge fan of soup. The sweetness it brings to roast vegetables is to die for and works very well alongside chicken and mushrooms in a winter warming pie. With the leek in this weeks delivery I though I might try something I was yet to cook, leek and potato soup. Perfect of lunches, easy to freeze and after a hard days work, would be lovely to come home to with a slice of toasted sourdough with melted butter.
