  • What is The Organic Place?

    We’re a family of five from Melbourne’s west who believe in healthy eating. With three young children of our own we have a passion for teaching them to make the right choices when it comes to food. We love to cook, grow our own veggies and can’t think of a better way to express our love than a home cooked meal at the end of a long hard day.

  • What time to I have to place my order by?

    All orders must be placed before 12 noon Tuesday for delivery on the Thursday.

  • What day will my delivery arrive?

    If your order is placed before our cut off times your items will be delivered the coming Thursday. We choose to deliver once a week as this allows us to provide you with the freshest quality produce available at The Wholesale Fruit & Vegetable Market. Delivery times will be during business hours.

  • Why didn't I receive the items I have ordered?

    We only visit the Wholesale Fruit & Vegetable market once a week on a Thursday. We do this because it’s considered a “new market” where fresh produce comes in overnight from the farms. Sometimes when we get there at 3.30am some fruit and veg has not arrived. This can be due to weather conditions, traffic, trucks not arriving and other unforeseen circumstances.

  • What happens if something I ordered doesn’t arrive in my order?

    Sometimes we can’t always get our hands on the fruit and veg that we want. Even though items are listed as available at the markets, sometimes they don’t arrive due to weather and logistics. If something is missing from your order you will receive a little postcard informing you of the items unavailable. You will be given a store credit via email and a complementary item on your order to enjoy. Please note this is not a substitute. If you wish to request a refund for your missing items please email us at [email protected] or call our office on 0401 014 162 and one of our friendly office staff will kindly assist.

  • Can I substitute something if the items I ordered are unavailable?

    If you wish to substitute an item that is not available you can request so in your order notes. Items can only be substituted with items of the same value. Fruit and veg can only be substituted for fruit and veg. Inventory items can not be requested as a substitute. Please note substitutes are subject to availability.

  • Where do you source your fruit and veg from?

    There are three organic suppliers at the markets where we purchase our fruit and veg from. Our main supplier is Organic Growers Group who we have a very good relationship with. They understand we only offer a one day a week delivery service and quality is of upmost importance to us and our customers. We also source other fruit and veg from Biodynamic Marketing and Melba Fresh Organics and when circumstance allow us to (drought) we also source some winter vegetable direct from Spring Creek Organic farm located in Ballarat. All of our fruit and vegetables are from Australian farms. Each week we update our social media accounts on a Thursday detailing where the weeks produce has come from and the relevant organic certification. 

  • How much is shipping?

    Our standard shipping fee is $7.95 for all fruit, veg and grocery items.

    All subscriptions come with a shipping fee of $3.95 – (a little discount to say thanks for your regular patronage!!)

  • How do I cancel/modify/change my subscription?

    Login into your account on the dashboard > Click on My Account > Subscriptions > View > Suspend/Cancel/Change Subscription

  • How do I refer a friend and receive my store credit for doing so?

    Login into your dashboard > Click on My Account and look for “Your Referral URL” at the bottom. You can share this URL with your friends on social media, IMs, email or any other way. You will receive an email for us and store credit after your friend(s) have completed their first order.
